The Center for Career and Technical Education (CCTE) represents a cooperative effort among the Gallup McKinley County Public Schools, Rehoboth Christian School, Zuni Public School District, Wingate High School and UNM-Gallup to offer career and technical education courses that the individual high schools do not offer.
High School juniors and seniors who wish to enroll in courses at the CCTE should see their counselors. Those selected to attend will be bused to the CCTE for classes in the morning or afternoon, depending on their schedule and CCTE program of study selection.
Not only can students earn credits toward high school graduation, they can, in most programs, earn between 14 and 18 credit hours per year. After high school graduation these credits can be applied toward a certificate or degree in a college program at the UNM-Gallup Campus. Students may enroll in one of the following programs:
- Automotive Technology
- Collision Repair technology
- Construction Technology
- Cosmetology
- Criminal Justice
- Culinary Arts
- Design & Digital Media
- Early Childhood Multicultural Education
- Fire Science Technology
- Introduction to Health Careers
- Multi-Vocational Service Occupations
- Students Achieving New Directions
- Welding Technology
